New to old at s1 builders ltd

Here we are transforming new timber to old using tricks of the trade   then it will be ready for oiling and sanding back before 're oiling it again

We also have 're oiled the engineered oak flooring to give it a bit more lustre.

Wall layout at the star with S1 builders ltd

Oak floors galore going down. The layout for the left hand side of the front wall and shots if the oak staircases as they go in. 

 Beaded tongue and groove ceiling boards to replicate the original ones. Also because there is so much flex in the oak beamed flooring we could not plaster it.

Oh no @ s1builders Ltd.

Started taking render off where cracks were to fill and decorate the front of the house. Removed the cracks and found bricks missing, render not attached to the wall, bricks just pushed under the Windows, delaminated reneder and more. The client asked my advice. Take it all off make repairs and 're render I said. Yes the weather is not at its best for taking the cement based render off a lime and flint walled building . They want it just patched up lol lol

S1builders footings for the breakfast room

Not your conventional footings but needs must when the building is just on sand with a stepped footing and the new one has to be over the top as we can't build like they did 400 years ago.

With the see in and the sun out a much needed Saturday morning stroll along the beach with youngest. Lots of strange plant life washed up onto the beach even made a dam to form our own sea lake.
